(A story from Luke 17:11–19, told for little hearts)
Hello, friend. I want to tell you something very special. It’s a story about me... and Jesus.
A long time ago, I was very sick. I had spots on my skin and my body hurt a lot. People didn’t want to come close to me because they didn’t want to get sick too. I felt lonely. I felt sad. But I had some friends—nine other men who were sick like me.
One day, we heard that Jesus was coming. Jesus! The one who helps people! We got excited. We stood far away and shouted, “Jesus! Jesus! Please help us!”
And do you know what happened?
Jesus looked at us with love in His eyes. He said, “Go show yourselves to the priest.”
We didn’t feel better yet… but we listened. We started walking to the priest, just like Jesus said. Step by step… And then—wow! Something amazing happened!
My skin was clean. The spots were gone! My arms didn’t hurt anymore. My legs were strong. I looked at my friends—they were healed too! We were so happy! We laughed and smiled and jumped for joy!
But then… my heart felt something extra. I remembered who made me better. It was Jesus.
So I turned around. I didn’t want to just run off and forget. I wanted to say, “Thank You!”
I ran back to Jesus. I knelt down right in front of Him. I said, “Thank You, Jesus! Thank You so much!”
Jesus smiled at me. He was happy I came back. He said, “Weren’t there ten of you? Where are the others?” Then He looked at me with kind eyes and said, “Your faith has made you well.”
