Weekly Agenda for Toddlers (Playing Church)

30 Minutes of Fun and Learning- This is to prepare the child for Sabbath School. Each day a new agenda will appear. Use the Program Music for all of these songs. This will allow the children to practice these songs for Sabbath School. We have some exciting sensory activities for our upcoming Sabbath School for our Beginners!

Monday

Singing (Up & dancing around, clapping, happy movements!)

Playing (Guided)

“Find Bartimaeus!” Hide & Seek

Purpose: Teaches that Bartimaeus was calling out for Jesus and Jesus found him.

How to Play:

  • Hide a small cutout or plush labeled “Bartimaeus” somewhere in the room.

  • Let the kids search, calling out: “Jesus, help Bartimaeus!”

  • When someone finds him, say: “Jesus heard him and helped him!”

Optional: Have a helper play “Jesus” and give hugs when Bartimaeus is found.

Reading (Practice sitting in chair)

Tuesday

Playing

“Walking to Jesus” Obstacle Course

Purpose: Shows how Bartimaeus didn’t let anything stop him from coming to Jesus.

How to Play:

  • Set up a soft, simple obstacle course (pillows, cones, or soft toys).

  • Kids walk with eyes closed (or very gently blindfolded with adult help) guided by a helper's voice saying: “Come to Jesus!”

  • At the end, a helper representing Jesus gives a high five or hug.

Lesson: Jesus helped Bartimaeus see and come to Him.

Reading

Playing

“Faith Says Yes!” Call & Response

Purpose: Encourages listening and repeating faith-based phrases.

How to Play:

  • Leader says a line, and kids echo back loudly:

    • Leader: “Jesus loves me!” ➜ Kids: “Jesus loves me!”

    • Leader: “I believe in Jesus!” ➜ Kids: “I believe in Jesus!”

    • Leader: “Jesus healed Bartimaeus!” ➜ Kids: “Jesus healed Bartimaeus!”

  • End with cheering: “Thank you, Jesus!”

Add Movement: Kids can clap or jump with each phrase.

Playing

“Pass the Cloak” Circle Game

Purpose: Bartimaeus threw off his cloak to go to Jesus (Mark 10:50).
How to Play:

  • Kids sit in a circle and pass a small cloth or scarf (the "cloak") while music plays.

  • When the music stops, the child holding the cloak says: “Jesus, help me!”

  • All reply: “Jesus hears you!”

  • Then the game continues.

Lesson: Bartimaeus left behind what he had because he trusted Jesus.

Playing

“Faith Walk” Tape Line Game

Purpose: Bartimaeus walked by faith, not sight.
How to Play:

  • Tape a simple line on the floor.

  • Kids walk across it with eyes closed or gently guided by a helper.

  • When they finish, say together: “I walked by faith!”

Lesson: Even if we can’t see everything, we can trust Jesus to lead us.
